Posted by 4-2ndtwin: Just finished given your Rom a real good test run.I started with Odining back to stock kj3 (complete wipe).
Odined boog's kj3 .tar kernel. Rebooted to CWM and installed ur rom that I had already copied to me phone.
Installation went with no problems. Let it boot up. Set up Wifi and Market account. Wifi set up with no problem. The Market loaded on first launch no problems.
Contacts worked as it should, no crash at all. Fonts and ringtones -- good. ( New default font from ICS is nice)
Sent and received messages and phone calls.-- all good.
Loaded some music and videos onto the phone from my computer and played all music (in both music players) and played video -- all with zero problems.
Went on the Web and Youtube. Tried the camera out.-- all good.
Gave all the included launchers a test run.-- all good.
Went to the Market and downloaded my Titanium Backup and Titanium Backup Pro and restored my missing apps -- all with absolutely no problems.
Gallery opened as it should the first try. No crashes or force close.
Did not convert to ext4 lagfix, as the way it is running now is completely satisfactory.
I went ahead and installed the AOSP lockscreen that you have linked to in ur OP... and again it installed with no problems !! But the Gallery would not open after the install of this lockscreen (not sure why). It just stayed on a black screen after I had went to the app drawer and selected the Gallery app. Had to tap the compasitive home key to get back home. Tried it with Quickpic and it opened up fine. To fix the Gallery issue I cleared data and after that it opened up no problem. (Don't want to blame this on the lockscreen, but I'm just informing you of when this problem occured for me.)
You did an excellent job on this Rom !!!!
There are zero issues, zero problems, as far as I can tell. If anyone complains about something, then I would be led to believe that they did something wrong, because your Rom does not have issues.
Hope this helps.... Again great job !!!!
Posted by kafepuya: Great work on this ROM IlluminatedOne. I may have found a few bugs. the first one is that when the battery reaches 80% while charging, the charging animation is stuck at the bottom with an almost empty battery with a quart of it filled orange. Another bug is that several times, when I open the stock phone app, when I select "log", out takes me back to home screen. I must say that I have come across this bug in 3 roms (fusion, fasty and this one) based on kj3.
Otherwise, amazing work. I salute you sir!
Posted by Christo_69: BTW, First time on this rom and it is extremely responsive. Excellent work!! I came from Continuum and was looking for a something better that suited my needs/wants and I think I found what I wanted.
Simply put...Awesome...Thanks lluminatedOne ...:)
Posted by GuitsBoy: So far, so smooth. Thanks for a great rom and for keeping cappy development alive.
Posted by tomween1: IlluminatedOne so far ROCK SOLID. A job well done my friend.
Posted by RTBee: IlluminatedOne... Great Rom! Running smooth and quick, without enabling lagfix. Will be updating my sig shortly :D
Posted by cnu4u: Hi, Thanks for this new updated, wonderful and live ROM. After using pinnacle and Watsa leaving active development, this ROM made me to come back... Thanks for this wonderful ROM.
Posted by viny2cool: Been testing 1.1 version from last 2 days. I did a clean install and never had better experience before. Awesome battery and speed. I didn't even needed to use voodoo lagfix. I see very high future for this dev and ROM.
Posted by 4-2ndtwin: And just wanted to report that, after a few days of running ur Rom, it is still running absolutely smooth and the battery life is very good as well. No force closes, lag, sudden reboots, etc. But everyone's mmv.
Posted by kafepuya: I agree. I my current ROM rotation is Fusion and Illuminance. At the moment, I'm leaning towards this rom strictly because of the stock look. What I look for in a ROM (stability, long battery life) are offered by both.
I think that different ROMS that serve different purpouse are what keeping this community so active. You have done a great job on this rom, and I think you should keep focusing on what makes this rom so great.
Posted by joeyl: love the ROM, I like the stock look as compared to the often garish looking I9000 ones. I also installed it after reverting to stock, and I think it makes a difference with having less errors. I am using tegraK overclock and the Samurai kernel, and I get decent battery life with 1.2ghz and standard voltage.
